キミのとなりで青春中。 Chapter 20
This chapter starts with Keita rushing over to Miu's house thinking to spend the day with her before school officially starts. However, Miu is hosting an overnight "Pajamas Party" for girls (Alex, Nanase and Gutsu chan) only. The purpose of this party is to bake chocolate cake as the next day is Valentine's day! Miu wanted to bake a chocolate cake for Keita to make up for the unfortunate outcome of his birthday cake.
Keita tied his hair, attempted to be a girl hoping that he would be allowed join the girls only "Pajamas Party" but was brutally thrown out the house by Miu. Keita and Gutsu chan's boyfriend sitting on a bench, lamenting and feeling left out when Keita suddenly suggest that they should organize a stay over party too! As they were wondering who else to invite (so they can have equal number of guys against the girls), Kobayashi kun so coincidentally happened to pass by. Keita roped Kobayashi kun into the stay over party after knowing that Kobayashi kun is concern about how Nanase is going to be at the "Pajamas Party". Gutsu chan's boyfriend is concern as they are still short of one guy. Which is not a problem at all as Ietei is tired up in Keita's house! (Keita tied him up to prevent him from getting near Miu)
They girls were having a great time when Keita announced that the guys too were having a stay over party and they would be ordering pizza for dinner with a loud speaker. Miu shut the door and apologized onbehalf of her noisy neighbour. Miu felt really happy that they had this "Pajamas Party" especially when she, Nanase and Alex were still rivals awhile ago.
They guys awere in Keita's room eating pizza while Ietei, still being tired up. Kobayashi kun and Keita were talking about when did they realized that they liked their childhood friend, referring to Nanase and Miu. While Gutsu chan's boyfriend commented that Miu has become prettier and Keita is troubled as Miu is totally clueless about it. Kobayashi kun teased Keita that the most popular guy in school has this kind of trouble too.
The girls are thrilled with their nicely done up cake. It's 10mins to 12am, Valentine's day. Gutsu chan suggestted they called they guys over to give them a surprise. When the guys arrived, the girls grabbed their respective guy and ran of to different places in the house.
Miu brought Keita into her room. Blushes when she gave Keita the cake. Apparently, Keita did not realize that it's Valentine's day. Miu peeped at Keita as there wasn't any reaction from him after receiving the cake. Keita was staring at the cake in his hands and blushing in disbelief and said he's feeling unimaginably happy.
When Keita was eating the cake, Miu asked why Keita was sulking the whole day. Keita told her he actually planned on spending the day with her without Ietei around (Keita tied him up) but... Miu was shocked that it's due to such a trivial issue and she apologizes. Keita told her he's alright due to the delicious cake. *sweet*
The other girls are in different corners of the house enjoying the cake with their respective boyfriend or brother.
