バクマン。(Bakuman) is a 少年漫画 (shounen manga) drawn by 小畑 健 and written by 大場 つぐみ, who is also the writer of Death Note.
His first appearance and he demanded that he be allowed to end one series he hated if he ever made it to number one at Jump. Arrogant right? But as his character grows, i find myself liking him to bits! Both his character and appearance. His hair is longer now but the fringe is still exceptionally short. I find it rather cute. hoho. See below, he looks so cute. 
He always SEEMS (I think hes aware, he just faking it) oblivious to the atmosphere around him. I starts to like him...1. When he first met 亜城木 夢叶 (Muto Ashirogi), he told them he was their fan and he loved their work, Money and Intelligence while 亜城木 夢叶 (Muto Ashirogi) declared him as their rival!
2. I find him amusingly at ease during the new year's party and i noticed he's always gulping down food as if he hasn't eaten for days.
3. I heart him when he agreed to join in the boycott and offered to help other mangaka financially during the boycott period as he had already sold million copies of crow. hahah.
4. I heart him when he's part of Hattori's plan to get 亜城木 夢叶 (Muto Ashirogi) back on track and he was truly happy for them when they got serialized even though they are up against him.
5. I heart him when he's so sure of what he's doing and his love for manga.
Next favourite Character - 高木 秋人, (Takagi Akito)
He is an aspiring mangaka who is very smart and gets the top grades in his school. He can't draw but by chance he discovered Mashiro's talent in drawing in school, he proposed that they try to publish a manga together. He's the first character i like because he's witty and talented. I still like him (even though i prefer Eiji) especially him and Kaya (now his wife) as a couple. There is very little but sudden developments of their relationship. Like how they suddenly got together (when there was no clues or signs in the previous chapter) and how they suddenly decided on getting married (starts with a dumb misunderstanding and ended up with him shouting :Marry Me!).
I find that he does not show his love for Kaya in front of Kaya very often but he does shows it naturally in front of others especially to the girls that likes him. Like how he told 真城 最高 (Mashiro Moritaka) he likes Kaya and that is why he's going out with her and how he told Iwase that he likes Kaya a 1000 times more than her. My favourite was when 真城 最高 (Mashiro Moritaka) and 高木 秋人, (Takagi Akito) was carrying out their "crime", the one about Miho's birthday present and they sneak into 高木 秋人, (Takagi Akito) room when Kaya was snooring out loud away in bed with very unglam sleeping posture. 真城 最高 (Mashiro Moritaka) asked 高木 秋人, (Takagi Akito) if it's really alright for him to see Kaya snooring away. 高木 秋人, (Takagi Akito) reply was "Why not? It's cute." In a calm and expressionless face. (serious humor!!) I love it to the max!
Third Favourite Character - 福田 真太, (Fukuda Shinta)
He is rash and very competitive and seems to enjoy the competition. His drawings are the lousiest but seems that it suits his story. His aim is to change JUMP. He's not satified with the way Jump functions and is never afraid to voice out to his editor. He's the ring leader for the boycott and that was when i liked him. A loyal friend or rival? He sees them as rival at the same time he's very concern about them as a friend. I like him even more when he offered to help Aoki out with her panchira drawings. He's really good at it. Haha. He looks cool in his bike and I thought it will be interesting to have alittle romance between Fukuda and Aoki.
Fourth Favourite Charater - 平丸 一也, (Hiramaru Kazuya)
He was an ordinary salary man before he picked up Jump for the first time in his life and decides that he quited his job and be a mangaka. His work, Otters 11 got seralised. He is a genius or a weirdo depending on how you see it. I think he is a genius in denial and full of crap! Yup, i like all the crap he came up (urinating blood?!?!) with and ride on any available opportunity (the boycott) just to try to escape from drawing manga. He has difficulity dealing with stress and likes to appear in other mangaka's studio, his way to relief stress but soon his editor will be there to pick him up and bring him back to his stuido to continue working. I like how his editor coax or motivates (sports car, bigger apartment and matchmaking sessions!?!) him to continue drawing manga. I wonders if he is really naïve as even Saiko, still a high school-er knows about the taxes he needs to pay after purchasing those luxury items. Maybe he knows, maybe he just can't be bothered to think or feel (he wishes to be born a pampared panda in zoo lo ?!?!), maybe he just lives in a world of his own. Maybe that's why Otters 11 is doing so well, it's crap but well received by everyone.
