ヒミツのアイちゃん - Chapter 8
I've decided to drop キミのとなりで青春中 as i saw Bebexiu churning out the summaries at a really fast rate and like what Ankemaybe mentioned in her blog, i will be taking up this series and providing the summaries from now on. よろしくね。。
Need to thank Ankemaybe for letting me do this series as she was the one who started translating it on her blog first and it's through her blog that i got to know this manga and i'm loving it to bits!

In the previous chapter, Takumi confessed to Aiko!!! He said: "I'm attracted to you, I like Kasumi Aiko." Aiko in disbelief and lost of words.
Aiko blushed and said: "What are you talking about? It's a joke right?" Takumi looking all serious and said: "I'm serious." (I just realized Takumi has got 3 ear holes on each ear! and did i mentioned before i love the little nevus below his left eye!)
"...but, I didn't plan on doing anything and I did not said these to pissed you off. You told me that my own feelings are important thus, i've come to be honest with my feelings." Aiko still blushing and still in disbelief said: ".. but.. you like me?!?" Takumi continued: "This is the first time i've come to like someone. I just wanted to let you know that i really like you. I don't mean to cause you any trouble. Let me like you." Aiko, blushing and not knowing what to say.
Aiko thinks that she needs to say something but is kind of angry with herself that no words came out from her. Hiroko came just in time to her rescue. She finds the atmosphere a little strange and wonders what happened between them. She then sees Aiko's ears red and is sure that something must have happened. Aiko thinking to herself "Why is it that i can't seems to speak properly when someone confessed to me? If he did not plan to cause me any trouble, why did he confess to me? I can't tell Reo these can i? What should i do?"
Scene changes to Spica. As usual, Ikumi and Aiko fighting for customers. Aiko thinking to herself: Takumi hasn't told Ikumi that i'm Mai. Maybe he's serious when he said he's not going to expose me but i still can't let my guard down."
Aiko is fuming hot when Ritsuki told Aiko to help out in the kitchen. Aiko and Ritsuki exchanged stares and Aiko told him to do it himself and he threaten not to give Aiko her pay. Aiko enters the kitchen unwillingly and thinks that she has no choice when her pay is at stake. Aiko is concentrating on working and avoiding all contacts with Takumi. Takumi looked at Aiko and said: "Ahhh..." Aiko sweat drops and goes: "huh?" Takumi feeds her with a piece of cake!
Aiko with the cake in her mouth mumbled: "What is this?!" Takumi: "These are the new sweets i've made and i wanted a girl's opinion. Is it nice?" Aiko eyes sparkled and with flowers blooming around her said: "It's very delicious! You are good!" and Takumi uses his hand to wipe off the cream on Aiko's mouth, licks it and said: "That great!" Aiko flushed and in shocked retreated a few steps back and shouted: "Ero Kabo!" (I'm not sure this is but i think Aiko thinks that what Takumi did was kinda erotic.)
Takumi laughing to himself he seems really happy here. While Aiko on the other hand still flushed and covering her mouth with one hand thinks "I was careless! I don't know what to do when he's around. I can't act normally after he confessed." Hiroko saw Aiko looking all flushed and worried and is sure something happened. She plans on asking Aiko later. Scene changes with Takumi and Ikumi knocking off.
Ikumi: "Takumi seems to have change recently, you've become more cheerful. There's someone you like?" Takumi: "Why? suddenly.." Ikumi: "Do not be deceived. Aren't you close to the girl who looks like a guy recently? You like her right?" Takumi looking away and said: "ah, no..." Ikumi: "Listen to me, because i failed as a girl thus i never mentioned before. Takumi is free to fall in love."
Takumi with a-gentle-and-a-little-worried-about-Ikumi-look said: "un. (ok). How about Ikumi?" Ikumi looking a little embarrassed said: "I like Reo thus why i've decided to like him to a degree that i will not be dislike by him."
Scene changes to Aiko sneezing. Hiroko: "Quick change before you catch a cold." Aiko: "I'm not someone who catches cold easily." Hiroko: "That's because you are Baka." Aiko: "Me?" Aiko phone rings, an email from Reo and it says: "Thought we are going to win this practise match but Koike won instead. Still feeling unhappy. Praise me so i can heal." (I translate illterally here, he used praise instead of console.) Aiko read the email with both her eyes and mouth wide open. Reo walked into his room after his bath and heard his phone ringing.
Aiko all chirppy said: "Reo! It's me! You did great didn't you? You are good! The opponent is strong that's why." Reo blushed a little and said: "Thank You. It's rare that i receive a call from Aiko." Aiko looks a little displeased said: "Aren't you the one who told me to praised you so that you can heal?" Reo laughed and replied: "yah.. haha... icic. Thank you Aiko! I'm really happy!" Aiko feeling pleased upon hearing Reo's reply. She squats outside Spica and chats happily with Reo on the phone. Aiko's thoughts "My heart is beating so fast when i'm only listening to Reo's voice."
Reo: "You went out today to bought the materials? Was it tiring?" Aiko: "The stuff were really heavy even though there were 3 of us. Ritsuki came to fetch us." Reo shouted in the phone: "3 people!? I thought it was only you and Hiroko? Aiko thinking that she's so so so dead and trying to bluff her way through said: "3 people? did i say that? You must have heard wrongly." Reo, very angry now said: "No excuses! I thought it was strange, don't tell me the person who went together is Takumi!?" Aiko, shocked and nervous she thinks to herself "Oh no! He knows and is very angry! What should i do?" no word came out from her.
Reo still angry: "It really is Takumi." Aiko shouted: "I'm sorry!" Reo: " It's unavoidable to have contact with him since you both are in the same class, activity and partime job. However, i feel hurt. I've never been out together with Aiko before (She always appears as Mai) and now i can't be the first." Aiko apologized again and is feeling bad that she had made Reo feels bad. Reo looking gentle replied: "It's alright. (omg! i think Reo looks so charming here! Sad but charming. I feel like consoling him so much!) Did he do anything to you?" Aiko shocked, replied: "There's nothing he can do right?"
Reo: "What am i doing? I believe in Aiko too." (He said "too" because Aiko told Reo that she believed in him when he was in the ferries wheel with Ikumi) Aiko: "un (ok)." Reo: "I sense something fishy in your reply." Aiko: "What! It's true." She thinks "Since Takumi is not causing me further trouble and i'm going to face it with the right attitude. It's going to be alright. The person i like is Reo that's why." Aiko still squatting outside Spica looks up into the sky and said: " I really wanted to meet you today." and thinks to herself "I really wants to see Reo's face now." Reo blushed and his heart skipped a beat.
Reo: "This is the first time time you said such things." Aiko blushing: "eh! but..." Reo looking at his clock said: "The day is ending soon. How about i go to where you are now?" Aiko suprised upon hearing Reo's reply and said: "What are you talking about? Aren't you tired? You had a match today. Moreover, by the time you come the last train... " Reo interrupts: " It's alright, i'm riding my bicycle and i really want to meet Aiko now." (ラブラブだね.. *so sweet*）
Aiko while waiting for Reo thinks "Even though we get to meet everyday, my heart is beating really fast when i'm going to meet him now." Reo arrived in his bicycle, blushing. The both of them thought "This is bad, I'm feeling embarrassed." Reo open his arms wide and said to Aiko: "Come, heal me."
Aiko looks embarrassed initially but soon give a bright smile, ran into Reo's arm and said: "Otsukare" (It's something Japanese said to each other after a day of hardwork.) Reo hugging Aiko and said: "Please do not make me worry." Aiko blushing: "un, im sorry." and Aiko feeling touched and thinks to herself "Reo's body is warm. Reo's heat is beating. He came riding his bicycle just because he wanted to see me."
Reo walking Aiko home. Aiko: "It will be the selection soon right? Some how i'm feeling nervous." Reo smiling: "What is this? I'm the one playing isn't? I want to have Aiko's everything. I'm excited." Aiko blushed and her heart skipped a beat upon hearing Reo's reply. Aiko: "Somehow it sounded ero." Reo in a loud voice: "Isn't it only natural?" Aiko: "Baka! Baka! You're too loud, what time do you think it is now!" Reo lowered his voice: "That's because you distant yourself away from me."
Aiko: "I've reached! Thank you for today!" Reo looks kind of unsatisfied: " un, so... Good night" Aiko noticed it. She calls him and plants a kiss on his lips! Whispering in his ears: "I will go support during the selection thus, you must win." Feeling all embarrassed, Aiko said bye and rushed towards the gate. Reo grabs her hand and said: "I tried so hard to hold back...
... you light up the fire." They kissed, passionately outside Aiko's house. Aiko blushing really badly asked: "What if my dad sees us?" Reo: "Baka, this won't happen." and he continues kissing Aiko when they suddenly heard a voice: "So, Good night."

Who is that? The father? But it's kind of early for the appearance of parents. Maybe it's Ritsuki?
I love this chapter! Do you? I feel happy for Aiko that she's opening up to Reo. More truthful of her feelings and most importantly letting Reo knows. Even though she still blush very often but we can't blame her when her bf, Reo is so hot right?

I love this chappie too. Both of them are so lovey-dovey. Nice. I am rooting for Reo cos he has always been so straight-forward with his feelings for Aiko. I think Takumi is too pretty for me and gosh, the nevus is too distracting. :D But the story is moving along fast and interesting. I like it that Aiko is also confused over her feelings towards Takumi. I suppose the next few chappies will be about her sorting out her feelings and making a very clear stand. I'm sure Ikumi will be around to stir up the emotions and add spice to the chappies. Nice work. It is great to read your translation cos I get a more Jap flavour of the chapter from you.

I'm glad that u also loving this series ….but apparently my translator is working on this series since chapter 3 way before the English scans weren't released yet (we were a little late because we were waiting on some missing chapters) I believe I was the one who ask Ankemaybe about the missing chapter back then. At the time I didn't see Ankemaybe was working on this series but just recently...I did informed my translator that u guyz are working on it and ask her if she likes to drop the series, but since she is so much in love with the series and I have a lot confident that she will give me the release each month , even she is a little slow with her releases (but that is because she working on too many series at the time), but I know she will not let me down in the long run, I have no choice but to bid her wish ...I guess u just do ur stuff on ur blog...but we will continue with this series on our blog.
BTW I choose Takumi over Reo....I he's hotter than Reo. But Mei can have Reao, leave Takumi for me.
@Ankemaybe: Glad that you like my translation. =) When i translate i try to keep it as close to the original (Japanese) as possible however, sometimes i find that my work sounded a little strange in English. I'm sure you know the feeling is different when you read a manga in Japanese and when you read it in English and Mandarin.

This chapter is nice right? very ラブラブ! I think i'm rooting for Reo... for now. Haha. I like guys who are straight forward and honest when comes to who they like. However, I'm waiting to see how the story is going to develop between Takumi and Aiko in the next few chapters since it's only recently that Takumi realised he likes Aiko.
