Finally done with the English translation summary for 電撃デイジー Chapter 38. It is again another long and wordy summary. I hope you don't find me too long winded.

This chapter starts with Teru's narration: What are you doing now Kurosaki? I'm listening to the story about you and my brother.

Continuation of the narration: "A sad but beloved story." Kurosaki was caught as "BAKA". Regardless of what his father's sins were, he wanted to replace his father. Kurosaki persuaded the cops to confirm if he's father was really a spy. Instead they locked him up for a long period of time which resulted in Kurosaki being very tired and lost all his fighting spirit and ability to rebel. The cops told him to give up, they too like him were betrayed by his father and no matter what, he's father wasn't able to come back to life again. Kurosaki's heart was in so much pain as if its skin was peeled off. It was until Kurosaki met Souichiro, he was finally rescued. The scene shows Souichio patting Kurosaki's head and Kurosaki was crying with big fat tears dripping down. Kurosaki was like a little kid as if an important treasure was lost and found. Narration: Ne, Kurosaki, What are you doing now? Every time i think about you i want to hug (?) you really tight."

The scene changes to Kurosaki with blood dripping off his forehead! (Yeeks!) He just fought with 3 guys who were now lying unconscious on the ground. He felt that he only fought with 2 guys though. Leaving another one still conscious as he's was the one who had "Jack'o Frost" with him. He handed Kurosaki a disc (should be something to do with "Jack'o Frost) because Kurosaki threatened to break his front teeth. Kurosaki said he would give him a chance if he was willing to answer his questions. Kuroaski asked: "Who requested for this disc which is able to revive "Jack'o Frost?"

Kurosaki continued to asked if any other people on his side used this disc? The man was shocked that Kurosaki seemed to know this much. Kurosaki assured the man that he was not going to use the disc the same way as them (the people who requested for it). The man told Kurosaki that those people are very dangerous people. Kurosaki told him it's alright as its only him alone (as in he has no family nor friends). (omg!!! He looked so sad when he said that....) The scene changes to Teru looking in the sky again and her thoughts: "Ne Kurosaki, Please do not do anything dangerous before i manage to catch up with you. Please to not go to where my brother is, a place where i cannot tell you anything." (Teru's narration are all so sad (T_T))

The scene changes again. Teru wiping her tears and telling Riko to continue. Riko said the conversation from now onwards was going to be very important. Teru interrupted her and asked if the conversation until now was not mentioned by Andou. Riko told her Andou was transferred into the team halfway. The previous leader was an elite personnel but due to health conditions he had to quit. Then came Andou, who looked nothing close to being an elite. Luckily he was able to blend in with the team and get along well with everyone especially, Kurosaki. The often discussed enthusiastically about programming. Master on the other hand often bad mouth Andou. (He's jealous that Andou and Kurosaki are getting along well. He likes Kurosaki.) Master and Andou often had quarrels and Kurosaki had to be their mediator. Souichiro saw all these and was always wearing grin on his face.

While Souichiro and Kurosaki were like real (blood related) brothers. They even won some company reward twice in a row for being the best team with the best results. Riko recalled all these good old memories and thought that they were like a real happy family. It was the most enjoyable time and she thought they would remain that way forever. The scene changes to them gathering around a table. They were having drinking session. Riko and Souichiro were drunk. One of the female colleague was comforting Riko that she shouldn't feel sad instead she should feel happy as her boyfriend was getting into a research institute. He would had a bright and successful future. Souichiro was totally gone, leaning on Kurosaki.

Riko drunk and pissed. She pin pointed at everyone round the table that they all had plans on leaving the team. Everyone would be going separate ways and only she and Kurosaki will be left in the team. Kurosaki was trying to tell her about his plans of getting into a university but was interuppted by Souichiro who looked really terrible. He was groaning in pain and telling Kurosaki that he's feeling terrible and felt like puking. Kurosaki shouting at Souichiro that he told him not to drink too much as Souichiro couldn't hole his liquor well and now he ended up feeling terrible (gastric pain) and felt like puking. Andou suddenly said he's meeting someone, someone he had not met for a long time. The guy beside him was a little shocked as it was pretty late and Andou was still meeting someone.

"Are you guys from Kurebayashi's team? I'm Professor Midorikawa from K university. I'm here slightly earlier to say hi to everyone." And he saw Kurosaki and said: "It's been a long time since we last met. Have you been fine?" Kurosaki seemed to blush a little. While Souichiro still feeling drunk and unwell realised the prof is here. He was covering his mouth. Suddenly Prof Midorikawa shouted: "Don't puke! Get out now!" However it was all too late. The next scene we saw Souichiro puking on Prof Midorikawa. The scene changes again, Souichiro is awake and apologizing for puking on Prof Midorikawa's suit which is now in a garbage bag, Prof Midorikawa is holding on to it. Master and Riko were standing slightly further away from them and Master was telling Riko he heard that Prof Midorikawa was a good man but he was the one who told the cops that Kurosaki's father was a spy. Riko said she couldn't seem to trust him but Souichiro... Kurosaki interrupted and said: "He's a good man."

"Souichiro said he's a good man and because of him (pulled strings) i was able to join the company. Regarding my father, there should be some misunderstanding. Both Souichiro and i believe it is so." Souichiro went on saying that he might have done some bad things to Prof Midorikawa if it wasn't so and told Riko not to dislike Prof Midorikawa because of him. He than said that he's returning to office as there were some work to be finish. Master then told Riko what Kurosaki told her is true and in fact Prof Midorikawa was a victim of Jack' o Frost too. Rkio replied saying her heard about this rumor too. Master went on to explain about Jack'o Frost. It is a top secret code. "JACK" the name was used, a secret virus. When a PC is infected with virus, it becomes useless and the PC only works for the person who sent out the virus. The "key" to restore is not available. For a normal virus, there are other ways to restore it was there will be loopholes in the structure of the virus but for Jack'o Frost, the structure of the virus is perfect with not loopholes and restoration pin is not left behind. Kurosaki is genius in this area. The meaning of "JACK" is The only way left is to find the weakness of the virus and solve it." (I'm not too sure what it means too, it's a bit too technical for me, the virus, PC and everything)

Riko said it was more serious than she had expected. Master continued "For an information to be coded, its equivalent to being dead (the information). Whose life will it cause? Even though it hasn't cause one's life until now but it is an evil sin. Kurosaki knows how serious his sins are. Jack'o Frost is no longer needed in this world. He hopes to forget about all these too. It will be good if he can forget about these soon and it will be the end of this whole issue. The important thing now is for Kurosaki to move forward and live positively and healthy." Riko agreed and said to leave it to her. Even if only the 2 of them were left in the team she would continue to support Kurosaki. Master looked surprised and asked if she did not hear about Kurosaki....

Riko caught up with Kurosaki and asked him if it's true that he was planning to study in university and asked if he disliked working with her (maybe only Kurosaki and Riko left in the team). Kurosaki knew it was Master who exposed him and told Riko that it was not because he did not want to work with her but it was due to Souichiro. Kurosaki wanted to join Souichiro in the research institute. In fact it was Souichiro who asked Kurosaki to join him and said that he will be very happy if Kurosaki is able to. Kurosaki felt very happy when he heard that from Souichiro. However, Kurosaki need to pass the university entrance exam as he did not have a good education back ground. (Seems like he did not attend secondary school, what more university) It will take him 4 yrs to complete university before he can join Souichiro in the research institute. Kurosaki said he wanted to help Souichiro in the research of codes, this is his aim/ goal now. He asked Riko if he's "small" to ride on other's dream. Riko encouraged him and said Souichiro will be very happy.

Riko went on saying that Kurosaki's father would be happy as well. Kurosaki, looking happy and said it wasn't as if he was very successful. Riko reassured him that his father will be very proud of Kurosaki as his son. (Kurosaki looks really happy here!) Riko asked what if he did not pass the entrance exam. Korosaki replied in a weak voice saying that he would have to depend on Riko for another 1 yr. Kurosaki then started to teased Riko and asked when does she plan on getting married to Souichiro and stuff. The scene changes to Souichiro asking Prof Midorikawa if it's going to be an important conversation and if it's about Kurosaki.

Prof Midorikawa said in a recent publication, Kurosaki's father was convicted as a spy. It was confirmed and a fact now. This issue had ruined the life of Kurosaki and his father and he thought that this news came in too late. He was surprised that Souichiro wasn't the least surprised. Souichiro said he kind of expected this conversation, it was just a matter of time. Prof Midorikawa continued saying that the conversation from now onwards would be very important and dangerous. The news came of mass communication media. Regarding code "JACK". Seems like he had been researching and finding the weakness of "JACK" and hope that they would be able to resolve it soon and report it to the country. He was seeking help (manpower) from Andou and asked Souichiro to help too. Souichiro rejected and reminded that he wanted nothing to do with "JACK". Prof Midorikawa apologized for his unreasonable request and he passed Souichiro a letter and said "You wanted to receive this, it's insurance, in another words" (I think it's Kurosaki's entrance exam result)

Showing a sign of relief, Souichiro said he was too worried but it was unnecessary. And they began to gossip about Kurosaki asking if he's attached and Riko on the other hand with Kurosaki was too asking him the same question, she even said to introduce Souichiro's sister, Teru to Kurosaki. Kurosaki said he's not interested in A cup. (LOL) Narration: Moving forward like this, as if we made a promise for a future fill with happiness. During then, this was the feeling." The scene changes to in the office. Master called Riko telling her to tell Souichiro that he would be coming in office later as he needed to meet someone. Souichiro was coming in late too. He went for medical check up due to his gastric pain. Master was surprised that Souichiro was coming in late and said Kurosaki would be uneasy if Souichiro was not coming in to work. Riko asked why and Master told her.

Kurosaki rushed in to office, greet everyone Good Morning and asked where Souichiro was. Riko told Kurosaki that Souichiro went for medical check up and asked why he was looking for Souichiro. He said nothing much. Kurosaki felt uneasy, was doing his work halfway and looking at the letter in his hand. The realised Riko was looking at him all these time and asked what's her problem. Both Andou and Riko were trying hard to hide their laughter. (They obviously knew about him passing the university entrance exam) Suddenly the phone ring. It was an internal line from Takeda from the secretariat section. Kurosaki was asked to go to the Managing Director's room to discuss some personnel affairs.

Riko holding Kurosaki's letter in her hand and asked if he's going out. Kurosaki told her someone called him so he's going to take a look and he told her not to look at his letter. He wanted Souichiro to be the first person to see it, before that it will remain as a secret. After Kurosaki left, Riko opened his letter. He indeed passed the university entrance exam. Narration: Kurosaki wanted Souichiro to be the first person to know about it. He's one step closer to his dream with this university entrance letter." The scene changes to Souichiro returning back to office with a heavy expression and one hand holding his stomach and he heard "No, mobile too. Where did Kurosaki went?"

It was Master, he was asking Andou if he knew anything. Souichiro asked Riko what happened. Riko said Kurosaki wasn't around, he went out in the morning and Souichiro's PC was coded soon after. All the data were gone. On his PC a window's pop out with these words written on it "MY NAME IS "JACK'O FROST" Sorry, your documents were encrypted. So you have the decryption key?" They wondered what happened and if it was Kurosaki who did it. Souichiro asked where was Kurosaki. The scene changes, to a lighting scene.

Narration: I do not understand why god want to take away Kurosaki's happiness. The scene shows Prof Midorikawa laying on the floor with blood on his forehead in front of his PC. The same windows pop out (The one which appeared on Souichirou's PC) on the PC. Kurosaki was standing behind the unconscious Prof Midorikawa.

Now we know alittle more about Kurosaki's past again. Just a little more. I still feel like my heart is hanging halfway in the air. Motomi Kyousuke sensei needs to end with a cliff hanger every chapter!

I myself is not too sure about how the virus "JACK" is suppose to work. (I'm bad with PC) I think "JACK" which Kurosaki created was a "higher level" perfect kind of virus where it leaves on traces behind and there's no way of breaking the code? "JACK" was supposed to be destoryed but Prof Midorikawa continued with the research on hoping to find a way to break the code. Souichiro clearly wanted nothing to do with "JACK". (Read the first comment to get a better idea of "JACK". Anonymous explaination/description is much clearer and better than mine! Do leave a comment too!) Question 1. Who hit Prof Midorikawa? I think it wasn't Kurosaki. I think he just happened to pass by and saw Prof Midorikawa fainted on the floor? He stood there in shocked when he saw the windows pop out on the PC and that someone had revived "JACK" and sent the virus to his company. As if challenging him?

Question 2. Why was he called to the Managing Director's room? To discuss about?

Question 3. Now that he got his hand on the disc (if it's true) which is able to revive "JACK", what does he plans to do with it? Destory it?

Question 4. Is he going to find those dangerous people who requested for the disc? Some how i felt that it was an inside job. Or maybe it involves the cops? government? (I sound like i watch too much Prison Break here. I was a fan.)

Question 5. How many more chapters before Teru and Kurosaki can reunite? They are so lonely and worried about each other now.

Seems like i have more questions after every new chapter.
