Salad
Once a week i will head to 国分寺 for Japanese lessons after work and our very hospitable Japanese teacher will prepare salad, cookies and tea for us.
I must say her salad are better than some of the restaurants i've been to.

What a nice sensei! I have Japanese lesson once every week too. I really like my sensei cos she speaks fluent English (with no Jap accent), although she is Japanese. That allows me to understand her clearly.
Woah, it's not easy to find a sensei who speaks fluent English. Is yours a private class? Many of my friends are attending lesson at ikoma but the teachers there are native Japanese so they don't speak good english.
Mine is a private tutor. : ) Yes. I know many who attend lessons at Ikoma. Unfortunately, she just tells me she is going back to Japan (after staying in S'pore for almost 2 decades)... She has recommended another tutor. I'm praying she speaks good English...
oic. *keeping my fingers crossed for you* I understand the importance of a tutor that speaks good English, it helps greatly when it comes to understanding Japanese Grammer. (my teacher only speak very little English)
If you don't mind can i ask how much does privite lessons cost? Actually i'm planning on continuing Japanese lessons next yr in Spore thus, i'm actually looking around for other options (other than ikoma and aoba).
I'm paying $320 per month for two persons for an hour once a week. Much more than Ikoma but I prefer it cos it allows me to choose the timing that suits my schedule plus I get to ask questions (lots of it) and go according to my pace.
If it is for one person, the cost will be $70 per hour per week.
